Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) Governing Board is seeking and Independent Member to join our Audit and Risk Committee.
Expressions of Interest (EOI) are sought for an independent member to be appointed to the Audit and Risk Committee of the SALHN Governing Board. Board Members have a significant responsibility in the health system and present an opportunity to drive decision making and as an independent member you will have subject matter expertise in:
- management of strategic and high operational risk management system
- Integrated compliance systems for the health system including monitoring and review.
- Accounting standards and practices under the Public Finance and Audit Act 1987 (SA).
- Advising senior officials on matters of significant concern or risk exposure relating to internal and external audits including; the effectiveness of the risk framework.
- Internal audit including the performance internal and external providers.
- Commercial management and acumen.
Time commitment - meetings are held quarterly at the Flinders Medical Centre in Bedford Park; you will be expected to be present for meetings, including any extra-ordinary meetings as required and have adequately prepared for discussion.
All applicants will be assessed by an internal panel for suitability to serve as a professional Independent Member based on individual attributes aligned with experience in similar senior level roles and appointments confirmed by the Chair of the Governing Board.
