About the Opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Finance team, initially working within Child and Family Health Service (with potential to move elsewhere within WCHN), as the Business Manager, where you will be accountable for:
- Providing expert business advice, analysis, and support to achievement CAFHS objectives,
- Developing and implementing strategic and business planning,
- Monitoring of the Division’s budget, KPIs and activity,
- Overseeing Human Resource systems, in particular nursing, administration and allied health, relevant to the Division.
The Business Manager is integral in the effective operation and viability of the Division and will be required to engage in:
- Contributing to Divisional management and service planning.
- Monitoring and analysing Divisions performance specifically in relation to finance, KPIs and activity data.
- Providing a business planning and management service.
- Assisting in the provision of a Human Resource function for the Division.
- Developing and maintaining information systems relevant to Divisional financial and clinical activities.
- Developing and recommending a strategic planning framework for the Division.
- Identifying business opportunities.
- Coordinating and managing staff as delegated.
- Implementing, managing and monitoring Divisional compliance with State Government and Health Sector strategic directions, policies and procedures.
- Supporting and applying a continuous quality improvement approach to management.
- Benchmarking of the Divisions performance.
- Delegated accountability for the management of Administrative and any other identified staff on behalf of the Directors of the Division.
About You
- To be successful in this role, you will have an appropriate Degree or tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business, Economics (or related financial/business management field) majoring in accounting, and the following:
- Highly developed analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to develop sound management reports
- Financial management skills
- Demonstrated capacity to function in an environment of dynamic change and financial constraint
- Highly developed interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrated experience in financial/Budget management
- Process improvement
- Experience in the effective development, implementation and management of forecasts in a large complex organisation within a framework of critical corporate objectives and in consideration of operational, political, financial and strategic issues.
