The Role
Airborne Surveillance, Control and Intelligence Systems Program Office (ASCISPO), located at Royal Australian Air force (RAAF) Base Edinburgh, SA and RAAF Base Williamtown, NSW, performs sustainment and major capability upgrades for the Air Force's fleet of MC-55A Peregrine and E-7A Wedgetail systems.
As the MC-55A Engineering Management Unit (EMU) Compliance Assurance Officer, you will be at the forefront of ensuring this new and sophisticated airborne surveillance and intelligence system meets the safety, reliability, and performance requirements of the Australian Defence Force.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing and conducting assessments of the MC-55A Engineering Management System against applicable engineering policy and regulations, reporting on assessment results, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, technicians, and project managers to deliver outcomes that support the airworthiness and operational readiness of the MC-55A Peregrine aircraft.

Our Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience in aerospace Engineering and Technical (E&T) domains, with a strong understanding of compliance assurance, defence E&T policy and airworthiness regulations (in particular Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) and Military Type Certificate Holder Organization (MTCHO) obligations);
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess and report on complex technical issues;
- High-level written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, articulating complex technical information to diverse audiences;
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives;
- A commitment to safety, quality, and best practices, with the ability to assure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines;
- A strong motivation to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment, with the capacity to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
