Above and Beyond Dental are a small family practice based in the heart of CBD, Perth. Located at Anzac house, Veteran Central is a purpose-built facility specializing in dental and health care for the Veteran and wider community of Western Australia.
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Practice Manager to join our team full-time (40 hours per week across five days). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys leading a team to ensure the smooth operation of a busy dental practice.
Key Responsibilities :
- Patient & Appointment Management: Oversee patient scheduling, manage appointment books, coordinate lab work, and streamline patient flow for a seamless experience.
- Billing & Financial Administration: Supervise billing, insurance claims, coding, and patient payments to maintain efficient financial operations.
- Inventory & Supplies Management: Monitor stock levels, order supplies efficiently, and ensure the clinic is well-equipped at all times.
- Staff Recruitment & Training: Hire, train, and support dental assistants, receptionists, and other team members while ensuring they stay up to date with certifications and professional development.
- Staff Scheduling & Performance Management: Organise team schedules, manage leave requests, conduct performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, infection control procedures, and licensing requirements.
- Chairside & Clinical Support: Provide occasional assistance in treatments, prepare rooms, take X-rays, and educate patients as needed.
Essential Skills & Experience :
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an office managerial role within a busy workforce environment (dental or healthcare setting preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, staff, and suppliers.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
- Proficiency in dental practice management software and office tools (Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.).
- Background in dental assisting, dental hygiene, or healthcare administration (not mandatory but beneficial).
- A team player who collaborates well with dentists, assistants, and administrative staff.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, ensuring no aspect of the practice is overlooked.
- A natural leader with a positive attitude and the ability to foster a supportive and efficient work environment.
- Empathetic and patient-focused, ensuring every patient feels valued and cared for.
- Competitive Salary: $74,000 - $76,000 per annum.
