We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Home Care Assistants to join our Home Care business on casual basis. The position is in Devonport and La Trobe areas.Join the 100-year old Respect business at a time of expansion - we have new clients joining us every week. You will form part of a collaborative, agile team with a refreshing approach and culture, as we strive to support our clients to ‘live life as they choose'.

About The Role
The Home Care Assistant delivers individual, personalised care and assistance to clients so that they may continue to live in their home and focus on their quality of life. The Home Care Assistant's responsibilities may include, monitoring and communicating client condition, transportation, house cleaning, personal hygiene, meal preparation and other health and wellness related activities. As a Home Care Assistant, you will demonstrate a commitment to best practice care and ensure that all in-home care is provided in a personalised, caring and respectful way in accordance with Respect's policy and procedures and aligned to the client care plans, goals and health outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in the role, applicants will need to demonstrate:
- A genuine passion to make a difference in aged care community services
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Respect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and computer skills
- A flexible approach - we flex with you
- Confident using electronic communication and applications - We keep you up to date with information and work with you to learn the systems
- COVID vaccination - a must have in the Home Care industry
- Valid CPR and First Aid
- Certificate III in Ageing, Certificate III in Individual Support or similar qualification
- Full driver's license and suitable transportation
- Ability to provide client transportation
- Available on Monday to Friday, and occasionally on weekends
- Possibility to work later shifts (until 8:00 p.m.)
