We are in need of Direct Support Workers in Ipswich and surrounding areas ( Brassall, Booval, East/West Ipswich, Raceview) with the opportunity for a permanent roster of employment.
Many vacant shifts are early mornings and afternoon therefore capacity to undertake some of these shifts would be an advantage.
Shifts available working with adults and with children.
As a Direct Support Worker, you’ll be an integral part of the lives of people of all ages and backgrounds. You may be required to assist with:
- Providing personal care support, including showering, toileting, dressing and more
- Administering medications
- Transferring individuals using hoists and/or slide sheets, and general assistance with mobility
- Domestic duties including cleaning, laundry or meal preparation
- Community engagement, such as attending GP appointments, grocery shopping or social or recreational activities of their choice
- Before or after school support including homework, tea preparation, games

Before you commence, you will need:
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- A Blue Card (Working with Children Card)
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check (Working with Individuals with Disabilities, formerly a Yellow Card)
- Valid Australian Drivers Licence
- Commitment to infection prevention and control measures including the use of PPE as directed
- A smartphone with an iOS 13.0 and up operating system or an Android 6.0 and up operating system
