South East Queensland Hauliers is a full service wharf logistics provider based in Hemmant, 5 minutes from the Port of Brisbane. Founded in the 1960's, SEQH have grown to become one of the largest import/export wharf carriers whilst still remaining a family owned and operated business.

SEQH reside on company owned sites in both Hemmant and Toowoomba. Both of which are undergoing 2025 planned infrastructure developments that have been initiated by genuine growth. It’s an exciting time to join!

Job Summary:

With the rapid expansion in SEQH, we are happy to announce the opening of our NEW WORKSHOP in our Toowoomba Location featuring state-of-the-art tools and a significantly larger workspace. In line with this, we are looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment. Your responsibilities include fault diagnosis, routine maintenance, and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle components
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks
  • Conducting thorough inspections to identify any potential issues or malfunctions
  • Using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
  • Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all work is performed to industry standards

Key Requirements:

  • 5 or more years experience as a Diesel Mechanic
  • Certification III in Heavy Machine Mechanic or Diesel Fitter
  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • MC driver license (advantage)
