About the role

THE ROLE

The Principal Project Manager, Enabling Works will work in a collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering enabling works including demolition for the redevelopment of Homes Victoria high-rise tower sites in accordance with the Government's Housing Statement.

The Principal Project Manager will provide pro-active and authoritative project management leadership, oversee and manage consultancies and contractors involved in design, documentation and project delivery and work with key stakeholders including Councils and authorities to progress enabling works. This includes coordinating procurement processes, budget and cash flow management, construction contract administration, stakeholder management, reporting and risk and issues management.

The Principal Project Manager, Enabling Works will report to the Executive Project Director and be a key member of the Direct Delivery Team within the High-Rise Redevelopment Program.

Accountabilities Include

  • Lead the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including project development and delivery, monitoring and evaluation.

This will include the preparation and presentation of reports, internal and ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions.

  • Be accountable for budget management and financial reporting, including the preparation of project cashflows and forecasts
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach.
