Role DescriptionWe are seeking a motivated and experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our remote team in Brisbane City, Moreton Bay and surrounds. This is a contract position offering the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful contribution to the lives of our participants.As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for:Implementing individualised behaviour support plans.Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify and understand behaviour and communicationProviding direct support to participants, utilising evidence-based strategies to promote positive behaviour change.Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including families, carers, and other professionals, to ensure a holistic approach and increase quality of lifeReducing restrictive practices and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.
QualificationsDemonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities.A strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or psychology principles.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.Bachelor's degree or higher in Positive Behaviour Support, Social Work, Health Science, Psychology, Disability Studies, or similar or at least 5 years of relevant experience.Previous experience in disability support services is highly regarded.
