JAKIRA SOLUTION PTY LTD T/A Cootamundra Gardens Indian Restaurant looking for an experienced Chef to service our restaurant.
Position: CHEF Salary: $75,000 plus SuperHours: 38 hoursMode: Full timeLocation: 96-98 Sutton street, Cootamundra, NSW 2590
Experience required: Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant roles.
As the Chef in our Indian Restaurant, your role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, with a specific focus on managing the preparation of Tandoor dishes.

The ideal candidate will be expected to perform the following duties that include but are not limited to:
• Showcase extensive knowledge of our recipes, ensuring excellence in menu items.
• Strategize and coordinate the preparation and cooking processes in our establishment.
• Establish and monitor food standards, presentation, and cooking techniques to maintain quality.
• Employ professional culinary techniques, overseeing dish quality at every stage of preparation.
• Excel in estimating food and labor costs, as well as proficiently manage supply orders.
• Minimize wastage while maximizing food revenues to optimize efficiency.
• Clean and sanitize cooking equipment thoroughly for subsequent use.
• Foster a harmonious working environment with team members and colleagues.
• Timely and accurately complete daily, weekly, and monthly reporting tasks.
• Research and recommend improvements for enhanced kitchen efficiency.
• Assess product and service quality, promptly reporting maintenance issues for safety.
• Coordinate daily food requirements, considering delivery times, shelf life, and storage.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Restaurant's menu and non-food products.
• Execute kitchen opening and closing procedures meticulously.
• Demonstrate effective kitchen management and leadership skills.
• Adhere to all operational policies and procedures consistently.
• Uphold a clean, safe, and hygienic working environment, following OH&S guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III, IV in Commercial Cookery.
