Position Details
Primary Role : Practice Manager
Work Location : Gympie
Employment Type : Part Time, 4 days/week (30,32 or 34.4hrs)
Salary Range : $40 - $46 per hour
Qualification & Experience : Certificates, Diploma or Degree in Community/Social Services and/or medical practice and/or a minimum of 2 years in Team Leader or Management Position
Position reports to : Chief Health Officer
Position Summary
Provide team leadership and coaching through the vision and mission of the organisation
Responsibilities
- Create an environment oriented to trust, open communication, creative thinking, and cohesive team effort.
- Oversee the delivery of client centred and culturally appropriate care.
- Manage a team of receptionists and nursing staff, including rostering, ensuring appropriate engagement with patients, and solving any performance concerns.
- Ensure optimal patient bookings to maximise Medicare revenue and ensure financial sustainability of the clinic.
- Motivate and inspire team members.
- Facilitate problem solving and collaboration
- Achieve reporting and auditing requirements for each program and organisation
- Assure that the team members have the necessary education and training to effectively participate on the team
Desired attributes

- Ability to manage and empower a team.
- Strong skills in multi-tasking
- Strong knowledge and experience in a clinical practice, preferably in a practice manager role.
- Knowledge and experience of the Medicare schedule, and in particular Medicare items relating to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
- Knowledge and experience of Medical software and sound experience in Microsoft Office applications.
