The role:
Impact Services have an exciting opportunity for two experienced and motivated Employment Mentors to join our team in Perth, Western Australia. The position is pivotal in providing the wrap around support that we provide to our clients and is an enhancement of our employment programs and services.
About the role:
- Mentoring and development support for individuals to identify pathways to wellbeing and employment.
- Empower individuals to succeed and maintain sustainable employment through the identification of barriers and connecting individuals with support networks to address barriers.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to enhance clients' employability skills, such as resume writing, interview preparation, communication, and workplace etiquette.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, organisations, and other stakeholders to promote collaboration and partnership.
- Develop a mutually cooperative, supportive relationship by undertaking activities with clients that contribute towards improving confidence, self-esteem, resilience, and acquisition of life skills.
About you:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Certificate IV in Mentoring (desired)
- Strong community knowledge and proactive approach to engagement
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
- Experience working with diverse communities and ability to provide support with sensitivity and understanding
