POSITION SUMMARY
This position is primarily responsible for the provision of comprehensive health risk assessments to our executive client base at Ford Health’s Sydney medical centre (and as required at our other regional and nationally located medical centres). The position is also encouraged to contribute to the provision and the delivery of health promotion activities (including presentations and the review of educational materials) and the refinement, development and peer review of existing and potential new services to be provided across Ford Health.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The position reports to the National Lab Coordinator for day-to-day administration and clinical liaison. This position will work closely with and receive support from our Accredited Exercise Physiologist in Sydney.
There are no positions reporting to this position. This position requires regular liaison with Doctors, other Exercise Physiologists, Health Consultants and the Administration team.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Delivery of executive health assessments in a professional and timely manner using evidence-based, academically sound and professional tenets to maintain the integrity of Ford Health values.
2. Develop a strong knowledge and expertise in the Ford Health executive health programs and online health questionnaire.
3. Provide clients with up-to-date, accurate and appropriate advice to establish a high level of client confidence.
4. Develop positive working relationships and clearly communicate with the medical team and administrative staff to ensure smooth and professional service delivery.
5. Assist in the provision and the delivery of health promotion activities including presentations and the review of educational materials.
6. Adhere to Ford Health reporting protocols and procedures that facilitate the accurate recording and collation of required data into the Ford Health system to ensure a high standard of generated reporting.
7. Operate in accordance with the Ford Health professional code of practice.
8. Electronically record all findings, opinions and instructions in a manner that can be understood by the client and other health professionals (external and internal).
9. Report accidents, mistakes and near misses using the Ford Health Quality Management System to maintain the integrity of the organisation.
10. Attend Ford Health training days when required, including annual CPR/Defibrillation accreditation, as well as staff meetings (the latter by phone/video or physical attendance).
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
1 Delivery of executive and onsite health assessments and health counselling, which includes:
• work, lifestyle, medical, physical and psychological profile assessments;
• treadmill stress test and resting ECG testing for cardiovascular examination;
• resting and exercising blood pressures;
• body composition testing, including height, weight, waist-to-hip ratio, BMI;
• lung function and hearing testing;
• flexibility and posture analysis; and
• fitness and dietary assessment and advice.
2 Conduct and complete follow-up calls to clients.
3 Delivery of telehealth assessments.
4 Assist in the provision and the delivery of health promotion activities including presentations and the review of educational materials.
5 Assist, if required, in administrative functions including reporting, procedure development, equipment management, and staff communications
Reporting
1 Contribute to Personal Health Reports to be completed by the end of each health assessment and provided to the client via on online portal.
Miscellaneous
1 Assist with quality assurance activities including peer audits, evidence-based reviews, and staff training.
2 Travel to Ford Health clinic and client locations throughout Australia (as required).
3 Maintain insurances, registrations and ongoing learning (as required).
4 Adhere to company policies and procedures.
5 Attend training programs as requested.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Qualifications and experience
1 Hold a Masters or Bachelor degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Human Movements or equivalent.
2 Full member of Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA)
3 2 - 5 years’ experience in an exercise physiology, corporate or preventive health setting is desirable. Graduates are also encouraged to apply.
4 Current CPR and Defibrillation certificate.
5 ECG Stress Testing or Rhythm Strip Interpretation experience is desirable.
