About The Role
Owing to ongoing growth in workload, we are seeking a project manager (intermediate to senior level) to become a valued member of our busy multidisciplinary engineering office based in Hornsby, NSW.
The role presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner wishing to build on their existing career and progress it to the next level.
It involves working from our Hornsby office and includes management of consultancy projects from project engagement to delivery including:
- Receiving project inquiry, identifying scope, estimating hours, and preparing proposal.
- Following up proposals to get engaged.
- Managing project work allocation, time and expenses, and billing.
- Dealing with project changes and variations.
- Ensuring delivery of complying and high quality deliverables within scope and budget.
The projects may involve a wide range of engineering works including:
- Property and development drainage assessment and WSUD.
- Flood assessments, remediation, and management plans.
- Civil engineering design of earthworks, roads, grading, etc.
- Geotechnical site investigations and assessments.
- Land contamination management projected.

About You
We are seeking candidates that take pride in their work, have a positive attitude, are punctual, reliable, hardworking and able to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
It is essential for the applicants to have:
- Engineering, town planning, project management or similar degree recognised in Australia.
- Understanding of consulting engineering such as civil engineering design (earthworks, roads, drainage systems, and flooding) or geotechnical and land contamination.
- Permanent full time Australian work rights (no temporary visa holders).
- Good written and verbal communication and proficient report writing skills in English.
- Well developed interpersonal and leadership skills.
- The ability to work in a culturally diverse and multi disciplinary team environment.
- Positive and proactive attitude and be motivated, team player, and eager to learn.
- Strong time management and organisational skills including the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.
- NSW full driver licence.
Any of the following experiences and qualities will be considered favourable :
- Experience in engineering consultancy.
- Experience as a town planner in NSW preferably in land development.
- Experience as civil design engineer preferably in land development in NSW.
- Engineering / Science / Town Planning degree from an Australian University.
- Experience with consultancy practice management software (Total Synergy, Deltek, etc.).
