We are expanding our team to ensure excellent support for our clients, especially those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurological conditions.

Hours and Shifts Required:

This is a CASUAL position offering 12-15 hours a week during business hours. There is potential for an increase in hours for the right candidate. FULL SHADOW SHIFTS are provided, and we prioritize your training to ensure you feel confident and ready to work.

Responsibilities

Domestic Assistance: Help with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and shopping. Personal Care : Assist with personal care, mobility, transfers, and use of specialized equipment. Respite Care : Provide relief to caregivers, allowing them time for rest or appointments. Social Support & Transportation : Facilitate social engagement and assist with community activities and appointments. Medication Monitoring : Prompt clients to take medication per their Care Plan where required. Compliance : Follow operational guidelines and reporting requirements.

ASD Experience & Interactivity : Prior experience working with clients with ASD, demonstrating patience, adaptability, and a highly interactive approach. Eager to Learn : Strong desire to grow professionally, actively seeking opportunities to improve skills and knowledge. Physical Fitness & Initiative : Capable of performing physically demanding tasks and proactive in problem-solving. Credibility & Service : Deliver evidence-based care with compassion and integrity.

Requirements

Cert 3 or above in Disability/Aged Care/Individual Support is desired however a Can-Do Attitude and Experience surpasses this! Minimum 1 year of experience in disability or aged care, with a focus on ASD support preferred. Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and relevant checks (WWCC, NDIS screening, First Aid, CPR).
