We are currently seeking an experienced and compassionate HR Manager to join our team and help us maintain a supportive and effective work environment for our staff.
Position Overview:
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all human resource functions, ensuring compliance with employment laws, and creating a positive, supportive workplace culture. You will work closely with the leadership team to develop strategies for recruitment, employee engagement, and retention. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring that Myia Services attracts, retains, and develops top talent to continue delivering excellent services to children and families.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the recruitment process for all staff, from advertising vacancies to conducting interviews and onboarding.
• Manage employee relations, addressing any concerns or conflicts in a proactive and professional manner.
• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in line with company values and legal requirements.
• Oversee training and development initiatives to ensure staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
• Handle performance management processes, providing feedback and guidance to employees as needed.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and child protection policies.
• Support the payroll process and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Foster a positive organizational culture that reflects Myia Services’ mission and values.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in HR management, preferably in the children’s services, healthcare, or social services sector.
• Strong understanding of employment law, child safeguarding, and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach, particularly in working with staff who serve vulnerable populations.
