Enhanced Lifestyles are seeking a dedicated Support Workers to join our team and support a valued customers in our Supported Independent Living homes.
At Enhanced Lifestyles, we refer to our disability support workers as Lifestyle Attendants - a term that reflects our customer-centred approach and the independence of our customers in managing their lifestyles. Whether supporting customers in the SIL home, in the community, or adapting to their changing routines, our Lifestyle Attendants provide personalised, respectful assistance tailored to each individual’s needs and goals. Position Details:
- Locations:
- Loxton – supporting a female customer (permanent part-time positions available)
- Renmark – supporting a male customer (casual positions available)
- Shifts – varied shift times available over a 24 hour, 7 days a week roster:
- Morning shifts
- Afternoon shifts
- Evening shifts
- Passive overnights
- Permanent part time available:
- 20-25+ hours per week (40-50+ hours per fortnight)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high quality support to customers with complex high needs
- Daily living activity assistance
- Personal care
- Community participation
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support
- Experience with Medication Administration, PEG - Enteral Nutrition, Dysphagia and Catheter is desirable, but further training will be provided
- Experience working with, or training in complex behaviour management and behaviour support plans is essential
- Demonstrate experience in supporting people with Intellectual disabilities and a sound knowledge of supporting people with challenging behaviours is essential
- Understanding of the Quality & Safeguards Commission’s standards
- CPR certificate completed in the last 12 months
- First Aid certificate completed in the last 3 years
- Manual Handling completed in the last 12 months
- NDIS workers screening
- South Australian Working with Children screening
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module
- NDIS Supporting Safe Meals Training
- NDIS Supporting Effective Communication
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and willing to transport the customers for community participation
- Previous experience utilising intervention and de-escalation techniques to support emotional regulation
- Able to show initiative and work successfully both in a team environment and autonomously
- Demonstrated experience in supporting people with intellectual disabilities and a sound knowledge of supporting people with challenging behaviours is essential
- Passion, professionalism and integrity within their role
- A willingness to work with participants, fellow staff, and relevant professionals to support the participants goals
