Livestock Hand

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Livestock Hand to join our operation focused on feedlot and background work. The ideal candidate must possess excellent horsemanship and cattle handling skills, capable of contributing effectively to our diverse and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Skilled horseman and stockman, competent in all aspects of mustering with horses, along with yard work.
• Participation in general wear and tear property maintenance.
• Strong communication skills and a robust work ethic.
• Ability to work effectively both in a team setting and independently.
• Demonstrates initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
• A genuine passion for the agricultural and cattle industry, excluding cropping.
• Flexible attitude and willingness to undertake a variety of tasks including feedlot work.
• Strong record keeping skills.
• Active participation in feedlot operations as required.
• Must own at least a couple of horses.

Experience:

• Minimum of five years within the cattle industry, preferably in a breeding and backgrounding operation.
