ABOUT THE ROLE
The In-House Junior Legal Counsel - Chinese Speaking role is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious legal professional to take the next step in their career. You'll work across various jurisdictions, advising on legal/compliance matters and gaining valuable insight into one of Australia's highest performing sectors, working with international teams and supporting the growth of the wider business. This is a varied role in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal expertise relating to documentation reviews, licencing applications and contract drafting/management
- Perform industry specific research to support business operations and expansion
- Consult (in both English and Mandarin), with national and international stakeholders
- Respond and be adaptable to a variety of situations and challenges encountered by the wider business
- Collaborate with wider business functions to communicate compliance and regulatory requirements
ABOUT YOU
The be successful in the In-House Junior Legal Counsel - Chinese Speaking role you should have:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to speak native Standard Chinese / Mandarin and fluent English
- An Australian legal practicing certificate or relevant qualification
- Experience in providing legal and compliance advice within multinational business settings or experience within international environments
- Extensive knowledge of Australian legal and regulatory requirements, particularly in relation to corporate governance, compliance, and contracts
