This is achieved through PROGRAMS OFFERED (e.g. Sunday Worship Services, Community Support and Emergency Relief, Thrift Shop engagement, and small groups).
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Community Connection Worker, at our Manly location. Reporting to the Corps Leader, this is a permanent, part-time position offering 15 hours per week.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 2.
You will successfully-
Under the direction of the Corps Leader the Community Connection Worker will coordinate the provision of emergency relief & food/ material aid at Manly New Life Community Centre.

Provide emergency relief and material aid with dignity and care.

Establish relationships with vulnerable community members, providing appropriate assistance and referral based on their specific circumstances.

Conduct client emergency relief interviews, maintain accurate records in SAMIS, and monitor progress, ensuring client confidentiality and data accuracy.

Support Mission Leader with planning and running programs and activities to meet missional intentions and local mission delivery goals.

Assist in implementing the local Red Shield Appeal campaign for the area, and other fundraising activities.

Relevant certificate/ qualification i.e. community services, social work etc., with experience in a community services setting

Well-developed communication skills and confidence in public speaking

Demonstrated experience in facilitating community-based activities

Excellent attention to detail & time management skills

Confidence with computer-based administration, record keeping and reporting

Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army

A national police record check is required

Current NSW Working with Children Check

Current and valid Driver’s Licence
