About the role
MSS Security is looking for access control security officer to work across our high profile government sites based in North Sydney and Woollahra, you will be responsible for ensuring only authorised personnel enter the site. These exciting opportunities will have you working 12 hour shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster. The successful candidates will undergo paid ongoing training including a Batons and Handcuffs certificate, advanced First Aid Course and extra site-specific training as needed.
Duties include but are not limited to:

Organize security passes, visitor inductions and conduct vehicle searches

Providing high level customer service

Respond to security risk situations and monitor individuals

Up-keep of documentation – reports / records

Monitoring CCTV
-
Onsite risk mitigation
-
Maintains logs and records of occurrences, completes necessary paperwork, and may use computer terminal to input and retrieve data

Operate walk-through scanner and x-ray machines
Skills and Qualifications
-
Certificate II in Security Operations
-
Valid NSW Security License
-
First Aid Certificate
-
Ability to work under pressure
-
Ability to be alert and remain focused on task
-
Proven ability in conflict resolution
-
The ability to deal with the public in a patient and personable manner
-
Professional presentation, punctuality, and professionalism
-
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
-
Checkable background to obtain relevant clearances
