The Role
The Head of Business Solutions is responsible for the operation, reliability and continuity of all applications, as well as mobile and Ecommerce solutions.
Responsibilities
This includes development, integration, proactive monitoring and maintenance and ongoing upgrades to ensure systems meet business needs. Robust architecture, pre-planning for stability and design for high availability and disaster recovery for all applications and systems are included in the role, which is pivotal to the overall reliability of all IT systems.Developers, engineers, and architecture team members report into this role, as do major vendors and partners responsible for delivering or integrating systems.
You will provide:
- Enterprise Architecture practices, strategy, and roadmap development, implementation and maintenance to ensure solutions meet business needs
- Removal of single points of failure from resource, process and technical contributors to overall system continuity
- Build and maintain a design, development and maintenance capability to ensure the performance and continuity of all systems
- Implement and deliver world-class deployment and release management to ensure regular, low-risk updates to the environment to meet needs for ongoing business improvements
- Manage and plan the upgrade and compliance path for all software solutions (built or bought) to ensure maintenance, support, continuity and compliance targets are met
- Own and define the technology roadmap and delivery for the OTR app
- Enhance our e-commerce offerings and standardise across the OTR group
- Drive continuous improvement for system development, integration and operation, including system optimisation and legacy debt reduction
- Provide subject matter expertise into major programs and projects as required.

About You
- Extensive experience in IT solutions, enterprise architecture, and business applications.
- Proven track record of leading technical teams, managing vendors, and driving digital transformation.
- Strong ability to align technology with business strategy to improve efficiency and customer experience.
- Expertise in system development, integration, and lifecycle management.
- Hands-on experience in E-commerce, mobile applications, and digital customer engagement solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
