As a Principal Architect, you will be a senior technical lead responsible for providing strategic systems oversight and advisory for enterprise platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding, designing, implementing and maintaining solutions across the University's enterprise system landscape, with specific emphasis on supporting the Student Management System Transformation program(SMS) in the first instance.
The Principal Architect will collaborate with technical teams, including domain specialists, cybersecurity, Quality Assurance, product and project management and change, alongside university stakeholders. They will provide expert guidance to align technology solutions with university priorities, ensuring agility and seamless integration with existing systems.
To be successful in this role, the candidate will need:
- Deep expertise in architectural design, system implementation and integration with the Callista Student Management System to support Monash's SMS Transformation program.
- Demonstrated technical architecture experience in at least one of SAP, BMC Remedy, Moodle or Salesforce within a Higher Education setting.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to bridge business and IT at all levels, including senior executives, in a complex university environment.
- Extensive experience in enterprise-scale architecture, planning tools, and technology solutions, with a deep understanding of higher education systems, business processes, and data flows across core platforms.
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop innovative solutions to complex university needs
- Demonstrated collaborative ways of working with technical and university stakeholders, contributing to positive team culture and ways of working.
