About You
Are you a recent graduate with lived experience of mental health challenges, passionate about using your journey to support others? Join ermha365 as a Graduate Peer Support Worker, where you’ll receive guidance and coaching to develop your skills in providing person-centred support, advocacy, and recovery-focused care. This contract role offers a meaningful opportunity to make a real impact while gaining valuable experience with an established NFP organization.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a genuine passion for supporting others, excellent communication skills, and a non-judgmental approach.

  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Empathy and the ability to build rapport with a diverse range of participants
  • Adaptability and resilience in challenging environments
  • Qualifications in Peer work, Mental Health or other relevant qualification (or be actively studying) is beneficial

We take appropriate actions to ensure that our staff and the people we support are as safe as possible. You will be expected to adhere to all OHS standards, requirements and processes, including (but not limited to) wearing appropriate PPE and regular hygiene and cleanliness practices.


About the Role
As a Graduate Peer Support Worker, you will learn and grow alongside experienced mentors, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment. This four-day-a-week contract role is designed to help you develop essential skills while building your knowledge in peer support. If you’re passionate about making a difference and eager to learn, this is an opportunity to make a real impact while developing your career in the mental health sector.

The role entails:

  • Work alongside Peer Support Workers to build supportive relationships with participants and their families, using lived experience where relevant.
  • Learn how to assess needs, create case plans, and support recovery planning using a psychosocial framework.
  • Assist in delivering person-centred, recovery-focused support, including co-facilitating group programs.
  • Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and establish connections with community and clinical services to support referrals.
  • Participate in training, record-keeping, and team discussions while upholding confidentiality, safety, and service quality.

It is a requirement of this position to meet all compliance requirements concerning NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children's Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver’s licence. In addition it is a requirement to have had a minimum of 3 COVID-19 vaccinations and obtain an influenza vaccination on an annual basis.
