About the Role

As Program Coordinator, you'll support the delivery of various projects and initiatives across QLeave, improving the infrastructure through which programs of work are delivered. Reporting to the Director, Enterprise Program, Planning and Delivery, your focus will include:

  • Coordinating a broad range of projects to operationalise continuous improvement across QLeave
  • Assisting with the implementation of initiatives, ensuring quality outcomes that meet stakeholder objectives
  • Assisting in the preparation or high-level corporate documents such as submission, briefs and other correspondence

Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support a broad range of projects to operationalise continuous improvement within a transformative environment
  • Assist with the support and implementation of multiple initiatives to ensure quality project outcomes meet stakeholder objectives
  • Undertake research and analysis to interpret and solve problems to support the development and implementation of various projects, including identifying opportunities for improvement in strategies and service delivery
  • Provide high level advice to senior leadership and key stakeholders regarding progress of projects and/or issues to support the continuous improvement of the EPPD team initiatives and enable effective decision making
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project activities and ensure program delivery meets desired timeframes and budget allocations
  • Assist in the preparation of submissions, briefs and other correspondence relating to project activities and provide status updates and reports on outcomes, in accordance with departmental requirements
  • Represent the department in relevant forums and facilitate working groups to ensure key project deliverables and timeframes are achieved

What We're Looking For

For this role, we will consider how well you:

  • Support complex project planning, including report generation at program and project level, budget management and program governance
  • Use structure and methodology in your approach
  • Effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders
  • Develop and manage communication channels or stakeholder groups and facilitate the business change decision-making processes including the planning and implementation of change
  • Know project management methodologies (e.g. PMBOK, PRINCE2 etc.) and provide advice using appropriate project management techniques
  • Provide effective negotiation, consultation, facilitation and exceptional written and oral communication skills in a complex project environment
  • Use analytical, conceptual and critical thinking skills while developing effective working relationships with team members

There are no mandatory qualifications for this role, however qualifications and experience in project and program management will be highly regarded.
