Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced full time Men's Senior Coaching Assistant - Bowling to ensure that the Victorian State Men's squad and Male Emerging Player Performance squads have the best strategic, technical and match day support regarding their bowling performance.

Key Responsibilities include :

In conjunction with the State Senior Head Coach:

  • Responsible for the training and coaching requirements of the State pace & spin bowling group
  • Responsible for skill analysis of individuals and teams
  • Responsible for implementing individual skill development strategies
  • Provide individual coaching sessions
  • Assist in the development of training programs for bowling groups in the Male Emerging Player Performance squads
  • In conjunction with the State Senior Head Coach, GM Premier Cricket & Community Cricket, and Talent Development Manager: Assist in the design, implementation and delivery of a formal Premier Club Coaches Program
  • In conjunction with the Head of Male Cricket, State Senior coaching staff and Talent Development Manager - Male: Assist in the development of training programs for bowling groups in the Emerging Player Performance Squad
  • Assist in the development of coaches across pathway and premier cricket

About You

You will have experience coaching professional cricketers, with an extensive understanding of national level cricket and knowledge of the Australian cricket coaching philosophy. Ultimately you will have the ability to create and manage elite training programs and demonstrate a genuine passion to develop successful athletes that leads to team success.

To be considered, you will meet the below criteria:

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years' coaching experience at an elite level
  • Proven ability to formulate and manage elite training programs and squad preparation
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive media relations coupled with strong presentation skills
  • A strong understanding of cricket at national level and preferably at international level, having personally played or coached
  • Highly developed interpersonal (oral and written), negotiation and conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrated relationship building abilities
  • Competent computer skills
  • Current Victorian Employee Working With Children Check

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Cricket Australia Coaching Accreditation or equivalent internationally recognised certification

  • Level 3 Coaching Accreditation

Desirable Criteria

  • Human Movement / Coaching / Exercise / Sports Science Degree
