Pakenham Carco has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant. The role will focus on supporting the Financial Controller and Dealership Accountant with a range of duties to support the administration department. The successful candidates will be provided with ongoing training and support in addition to fantastic opportunities for long term career progression.
Assisting with:
- Preparation of monthly Profit & Loss statements
- Floorplan – Reconciliation/Payments/Audit
- Year end audit
- Monthly reporting
- Weekly reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Bank Statement and Credit Card reconciliations
- Reconciliation of manufacturer retail and fleet claims
You:
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office suite skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving ability
- Sound time management skills and ability to work within time constraints
- Proven success in a team orientated environment
- An excellent work ethic
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the automotive industry is preferred but not necessary.
