About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Fitter Machinist to join our Stapylton Cans Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a day shift 7am – 3.30pm, with overtime available. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring all tooling is prepared and ready for production requirements.
- Operating automated machining equipment to fine tune all production tooling.
- Contribute to project work, including installation and machinery upgrades across site.
- Work with computerized machining equipment, working to tight tolerances and precision.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.
What You’ll Bring
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification.
- Strong experience in machining, preferably CNC.
- Precision fitting experience and knowledge, working to microns.
- Passion for your trade and commitment to improvements.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
