The Role
Army Aviation System Program Office (AASPO) is commencing transition of our Attack Reconnaissance Helicopter (ARH) from service. This transition is expected to be complete by approximately 2028 dependent on Government decisions.
AASPO is currently looking for an experienced Contract Officer who will be a key team member through the busy withdrawal and disposal process. After the disposal of the ARH, new platforms are being introduced into service within Army Aviation with exciting opportunities available.
This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Agreement (DEA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. About our Team
Army Aviation Systems Program Office (AASPO) is responsible for the sustainment of the ARH Tiger.
AASPO is located in South East Queensland, with offices in the Brisbane CBD and Airport. AASPO is part of the Army Aviation Systems Branch (AASB), which in turn is a key Branch within the Joint Aviation Systems Division (JASD) of CASG.
