This civil contractor Business Development role is a new permanent full-time role opportunity, based near the upper Gold Coast region .

We are looking for a best in class Business Development Manager , responsible for identifying new business opportunities , building new and retaining existing client relationships , creating and implementing sales strategies , and new capability and collateral and subsequent systems and processes to scale.

You will be a high achiever who leads from the front, is a great communicator , maintains connection with technology, including being talented with CRMs and is able to create or adapt pitch decks, capability statements etc, whilst positively contributing to team morale.

You willl need to have

  • a proven track record in sales (from early engagement to finish), business development, or account management within the civil or mining industry;
  • be experienced in running tender evaluation meetings;
  • have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships;
  • possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills;
  • have proficiency in Microsoft Office suite;
  • be available to travel to regional and remote sites for client meetings and industry events as needed; and
  • have a reasonable commercial and contractual awareness
