About The Role:
Fantastic opportunity for an experienced estimator or similar experience to join Bay Building Group. We would encourage personal with good sound building knowledge that are proficient with computer skills to apply. This integral role is required to estimate and deliver accurate budgets, quotes and cost estimates for medium to large insurance claims & tenders across both residential and commercial projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Attend site to inspect, accurately assess and report on causation
- Prepare detailed scopes of work, clearly defining repair requirements and methods.
- Liaise with contractors/suppliers to assist with preparing high level cost breakdowns and detailed repair structures.
- Have a detailed understanding and experience in the construction process, critical inspection points, permit requirements and WHS requirements
Skills and experience:
- Proven skills in construction estimating for domestic properties
- Ability to deal with multiple projects simultaneously with conflicting priorities
- Experience working directly with clients, building consultants and trades/suppliers
- High level of strong verbal and written communication
- Thorough understanding of the construction process from concept to handover and WHS requirements
- Understanding of relevant Building codes and Australian standards.
- Autonomous working capabilities
- Computer skill in estimating and Microsoft programs a requirement
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency (unfortunately we cannot accommodate visa holders at this time)
