We are a diverse organisation and offer a variety of services including linehaul transport, bulk transport services, wharf cartage services, warehousing and distribution, and specialised transport solutions.
We are now seeking to employ an experienced Warehouse Forklift Operator to join the KTrans team at our Welshpool Operational Depot.
The role:
As a Warehouse Forklift Operator, your primary responsibilities will be receiving, sorting, consolidating and loading of general freight and import/export cargo safely in accordance with KTrans documented procedures and standards.

You will be accountable for:
- Ensuring cargo is received in an orderly manner together
- Completion of accurate and timely documentation via our TMS (Bustle, Freight Tracker) systems in accordance with KTrans freight preparation procedures
- Ensuring packaging requirements are noted and complied with, eg - fragile goods, dangerous goods, insufficient packaging
- Ensure correct labelling of all cargo items
- Correctly identify and store cargo in a safe and secure manner to enable damage - free delivery to the correct location
- Correct use of all consumable items, eg - labels, consignments, cargo wrapping
- Ensure cargo is suitable to travel, secure and safe when loading trailers in accordance with Load Restraint Guide
The Requirements:
- Current Forklift Licence and Load Restraint Awareness
- Ability to coordinate and work within a team to achieve work tasks set
- Ability to work efficiently , taking in account the irregular delivery timeliness of cargo into the depot
- An ability to measure cargo accurately with high level and attention to detail
- Develop and maintain a high level of cargo care which results in excellent customer service skills
- Clear and legible handwriting and documentation skills
- Sound understanding of Occupational Health and Safety Principles
