The Digital Communications Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing digital marketing strategies and communication initiatives that align with SWAMS' mission to improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal communities. The role involves creating and maintaining a strong online presence across multiple digital platforms, managing the organisation's social and digital media accounts, crafting compelling content, and ensuring that all digital communication efforts reflect SWAMS' values, goals, and cultural sensitivities.
Other key duties include but are not limited to:
• Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy
• Content Creation and Social Media Management: Create and manage high-quality, culturally appropriate content for various digital platforms
• SEO and SEM: Optimise website content for search engines and manage search engine marketing campaigns to increase online visibility
• Analytics and Reporting: Monitor, analyse, and report on digital marketing performance, using insights to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
• Brand Management: Ensure consistency in SWAMS' brand and sub-brands messaging across all digital and print communications, maintaining a strong and culturally respectful identity.

Essential Criteria:
• Qualifications or minimum 3 years relevant experience in Digital Marketing, Digital Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, content management systems (CMS), SEO/SEM, Google Analytics and email marketing software.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes.
• Knowledge of the health, social and emotional wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
