Join our team as a Disability Support Worker dedicated to providing exceptional care and support in Sylvanvale's Supported Independant Living (SIL) homes located across the Blue Mountains and Blacktown area.
We are seeking casual Support Workers with experience in Challenging Behaviours, who have great flexibility and availability.
This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage your experience in specialized care for clients with complex behavioural and medical needs, contributing to a dynamic and rewarding environment where compassion and professionalism are valued.

About The Role
Sylvanvale provides services 7 days per week which includes morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts.
This role would suit someone who has the tenacity and confidence in working with people with complex support needs and, at times, behaviours of concern. You will be required to appropriately support clients with opportunities to reach their individual goals through meaningful activities in their home and in the community.
Your role will include:
- Reading and understanding behaviour support plans
- Implementing and recording restrictive practices
- Supporting customers with personal care, health issues and hygiene
- Performing household tasks including menu planning, cooking, and cleaning
- Supporting customers to access and be a part of their local community
- Experience supporting clients who exhibit complex, challenging behaviours.
- Ability to work as part of a team and well as individually.
- Willingness to work active nights when required.
- Strong understanding of Behaviour Support Plans and restrictive practices.
- Relevant qualifications in Disability Support.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
- Full, unrestricted Australian work rights.
