Employment Type : Full-time (40 hours per week)
Contract Duration : Up to 15 months with a potential 12-month extension and up to two extensions

Cleared is parterning with The Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) who are seeking multiple Infrastructure Technicians (APS6 Equivalent) to join its team in delivering critical ICT infrastructure projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high-performing team, contributing to ASD's vital mission of defending Australia against global threats through cyber security, signals intelligence, and offensive cyber operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute large-scale ICT infrastructure rollouts in controlled data centres.
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Design, implement, and maintain network/system changes and routines.
- Undertake maintenance and management of datacentre and telecommunications hardware.
- Install and configure network equipment and perform fault investigations as needed.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Intermediate understanding of network fundamentals (protocols, architectures, devices, topologies).
- Knowledge of optical fibre and optical link budgets.
- Experience in network security and data transmission networks.
- Practical knowledge of data centre design, installation, and upgrades.
- ITOP 4 : Provide technical expertise for operational procedures and contribute to planning, infrastructure maintenance, and updates. Use infrastructure management tools and automation scripts to improve infrastructure provisioning and deployment.
- NTDS 4 : Design network components following specified architecture and standards. Translate logical designs into physical designs while ensuring performance, capacity, and security.
- HSIN 4 : Supervise and execute complex system installations and de-installations. Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during installations, and develop procedures for improved service.
- Must be eligible to obtain Positive Vetting security clearance.
- Onsite work is required for most roles, based in Canberra, with the possibility of accommodation in Melbourne, Brisbane, or Perth depending on operational needs.
