About the role
The VGSO is seeking a proactive, responsive and tech savvy Applications Support Analyst who will be responsible for the technical administration of VGSO's practice management systems (Elite and Cosine). Reporting to the Senior Manager, Data Analytics, this role requires an individual with strong communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Provide application support and problem resolution for legal practice management systems (Elite 3E, 3E Workspace, Cosine)
- Experience in database management and data transformation, primarily using Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, TSQL) and software development (Python, VB.NET, C#, PowerShell)
- Support project implementation activities including, user acceptance testing, issue resolution, communication, training, and awareness
- Monitor and maintain all installed systems and infrastructure, including virtual and physical server environments
- Develop, test, evaluate, and install improvements and new software, ensuring systems are in peak performance
- Perform regular monitoring to proactively identify potential issues and threats and maintaining the integrity of all system environments including test, training and production environments
- Provide authoritative advice to internal stakeholders and prepare and present detailed reports, as directed
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to consult around existing data requests and define client and project requirements, discuss analytical approaches/methodologies, and negotiation timelines and deliverables.
- Pro-actively build and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach
- Perform data / root cause analysis using appropriate tools (e.g. Microsoft Excel, SQL Server, Power BI etc.)
- Assist in training staff on relevant subject matter as required
- Other duties and projects as required
Skills and experience
- Tertiary qualification in IT would be highly regarded
- 3 - 5 years technical experience within a practice management system
- Prior experience in database management, data query and data transformation
- Track record of working in system focused positions and on a range of different system projects, with preferably legal industry practice management systems
- Relevant experience a legal or professional services environment is highly regarded
- Technical reporting skills using Power BI and SQL would be advantageous
