The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to provide a critical role within Technology Solutions and Data Security.

The Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department) delivers a justice and community safety system that works to build a safer, fairer and stronger Victoria.
Technology Solutions and Data Security focuses on meeting the department's data and digital needs by providing responsive and sustainable services focused on supporting departmental outcomes.
Technology Solutions and Data Security explores and employs technology to enable the department's business function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and overseas the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
About the Role
Working as part of the Program Control Office function the Senior Project Officer plays an important role in the support, planning and coordination of activities on a large transformation program. Working closely with the Senior Program Control Manager, and Senior Project Manager, the role will be involved in communications, maintaining project governance, reporting, scheduling and associated processes within a designated project stream.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- At least 5 years' experience as a Program or Project Coordinator working on a technology transformation initiative using Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
- Proficiency with secretariat services, project management tools, scheduling and applications used for collaboration, document sharing & control and performance reporting (eg, Confluence, Sharepoint and Jira).
- Proven attention to detail including an ability to pick up on nuances to provide accurate and comprehensive information when creating or reviewing any reporting and governance content.
- Advanced skills in planning, prioritisation, communication, written, presentation and oral.
- A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
- Appropriate vocation qualifications and certifications, e.g. Project Management, Agile delivery, Service Management and/or Change Management, would be highly regarded.
