The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail oriented-individual to join our industry leading Disputes practice as an Administrative Assistant working Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:15 pm.
This administrative position would suit a university student studying a Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor who is looking to progress their legal career.
We are opening to considering part-time applications from individuals who want to work four days per week.
The role:
As an Administrative Assistant, you will contribute to enhancing our client experience buy working closely with the Disputes Legal Assistants to provide administrative support to legal and business services staff.
Your day will involve:
- Delivering high quality, accurate work whilst managing deadlines, responding to change and the competing priorities of all work.
- Scanning, printing, or photocopying relevant documents as and when required by the relevant practice group support colleague or Lawyer.
- Providing ad-hoc support to the practice group such as dealing with incoming mail, expense management, booking meeting rooms, amending documents and any other administrative duties.
- Preparing files for archiving and manage return and retrieval of files following firm guidelines.
Skills & experience:
To be successful as an Administrative Assistant you will be a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working collaboratively.
You will also have:
- 0-12 months administrative experience.
- Impeccable attention to detail.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Previous customer service experience.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm and proactivity in the workplace.
- Strong time management and organisational skills; ability to prioritise your time across several busy matters.
- Good written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
