Queensland Pathways State College is state high school that specialises in supporting young people aged 15 to 18 (minimum grade 10), that have significant barriers to attending an educational setting, ensuring all students can succeed.We are looking to recruit a highly motivated Deputy Principal - Inclusion, Health and Wellbeing. This is a crucial role that will oversee our state wide operations with inclusion and guidance provisions. You will work closely with the principal and executive team ensuring the individual needs and adjustments of all students are supported to assist with engagement and student success.
This role is offered on a temporary full-time basis, for a period of 6 months unless otherwise determined.

About QPSC
At Queensland Pathways State College (QPSC), we offer a 12-month senior transitions program designed to support vulnerable students who are eager to complete their senior studies but have faced challenges that impact their ability to engage in schools. Through creating a safe and strength-based approach, we support these students to reach their goals and move confidently towards further education (TAFE or university) or employment.
Our program focuses on building essential skills in literacy, numeracy, workplace readiness, and overall wellbeing. Every student has their QCE pathway mapped out and students are mentored to reach their goals in education, wellbeing and future pathways.
Your Role
As Deputy Principal - Inclusion, Health and Wellbeing, you will:
Deliver on QPSC's strategic plan and align to DoE Equity and Excellence Strategy.Improve the educational outcomes for our students.Strategically lead the schools Health and Wellbeing Framework and Inclusion Framework.Lead the roles of Guidance Officers, Head of Inclusion, Speech Language and Allied Health Services across all campuses of QPSC, ensuring best practice and consistency.Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers, other campuses, the community and stakeholders.

You will have the responsibility for leading the following activities:
Leading QPSC's shared vision of Every Student Succeeding, to ensure effective. engagement strategies and equitable access to support services that are responsive to all student needs.Set high standards for your teams' performance.Build on and form partnerships with other government and non-government organisations, to ensure students have the necessary opportunities and support to be successful.Oversee complex case management processes.Manage the resources for your portfolio.
About You
A successful applicant will have the following experience and/or knowledge:
Experience in leading highly effective teams.Understanding of the Guidance Officer role and the impact on student learning.Knowledge and experience with inclusive practices, trauma informed practices, strength-based approaches to supporting young people.Understanding of adjustments for students with a disability and NCCD processes.Experience leading and implementing whole school strategic plans.
