Plant Mechanic

M2P Engineering

Prominent Hill, South Australia & Tanami, Northern Territory

You'll have the opportunity to earn over $200,000 per annum

2:1 FIFO roster

As our valued Plant Mechanic, you will play a vital part in maintaining and repairing a range of plant machinery, including Cranes, EWPs (Elevated Work Platforms), Light Vehicles, Forklifts and Trucks. Based onsite at either Prominent Hill in South Australia or Tanami Gold Mine in the Northern Territory, you’ll draw on your expertise to troubleshoot issues, perform regular maintenance, and execute repairs to keep our equipment in top shape.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Conducting routine and emergency maintenance on our fleet
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
  • Ensuring our equipment operates efficiently and safely to support our operations
  • Collaborating with other team members to tackle complex issues

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • Experience in plant maintenance and repair
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in remote and challenging environments, including the possibility to work underground
  • Commitment to safety and compliance
  • Knowledge of auto electrics.

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Experience with a variety of plant machinery including Cranes, EWPs, Forklifts, Light Vehicles, and Trucks
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
