Disability Support Worker

ITEC Group Australia, Cairns

What we are looking for:

ITEC is looking for committed staff who can show their adaptability, resilience and an ability to problem solve. Being a support worker can be both challenging and rewarding, with this in mind we are seeking people who have a passion for helping others. We are seeking team members who can take lead from the participant and care coordinators to implement NDIS funding in a way that our participants choose.

Qualities we value in perspective employees:

  • Available 4-5 days per week, including one weekend day
  • Availability to work active nights and sleepover shifts
  • Have completed or enrolled in a certificate III in individual support or Similar
  • Experience with High Intensity Supports
  • Experience working with complex behaviours

Mandatory Certifications/Clearances:

  • Working with Children Check & NDIS Clearance (Yellow Card).
  • Completed NDIS New Worker Induction and New worker Orientation Modules
  • Hold a current HLTAID011 First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain.
  • Hold current QLD open Drivers Licence and have your own insured vehicle.
  • Rights to work in Australia (Citizen or permanent resident).
