Are you passionate about enhancing the lives of older Australians? We’re seeking compassionate and dynamic Leisure and Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Keith & Districts Healthcare. In this rewarding role, you’ll help residents remain independent and engage in meaningful activities that promote their well-being and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing a comprehensive recreational program to support residents’ individual needs and preferences.
- Respect resident rights, privacy, and freedom of choice while providing personalised activity options.
- Support diverse activity programs and ensure residents have the opportunity to engage in the activities they enjoy.
- Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and residents to create an enriching environment.
- Assist in reviewing and improving activity programs in partnership with residents and their families.
- Provide guidance to students, volunteers, and staff as needed.
- Encourage staff from other departments to participate in activities and foster community involvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- A compassionate individual with the ability to relate to aged people and work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritise, take initiative, and be self-motivated.
- Willingness to undertake relevant education in leisure & lifestyle practices.
