Brief Summary of role:
The CDP Support Officer is responsible for ensuring effective, efficient, and high-quality delivery of all CDP services to support CDP participants. The role will assist jobseekers in addressing vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment, whilst ensuring their obligations and job search requirements are met, as directed by services Australia. The role supports jobseekers through preparing and implementing individualised plans and negotiating training, placement and support services. The role will also be responsible for engaging CDP participants in meaningful activities and projects whilst assisting them to build capacity and skills for future. This will involve sound working knowledge of all services and aspects of CDP business and processes. This position will also involve working as part of a team to achieve the overall aims of the program, as well as building strong an influential internal and external relationships that adhere to compliance within agreements.
Remuneration package:
Employment Type : Full Time
Salary Range: $74,360.42 per annum (pro-rata)
Entitlements/Benefits: 6 Weeks Annual Leave + 2 Weeks Sick Leave + 2 Weeks Ancillary Leave + 1 RDO per Month
Location: Kalano’s CDP Administration Office – 2/3 First Street, Katherine NT
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week – 7.5 hours per day [Monday to Friday | 08:00am – 4:30pm]
The successful applicant should posses the following attributes, skills and competencies;
• Certificate in Business Administration or Community Services (or willing to obtain)
• Understanding of CDP guidelines and legislation
• Demonstrate an empathy with Aboriginal people, and an understanding and knowledge of local Aboriginal cultures, as well as current and complex issues.
• Competency with written and oral communication, including cross-cultural awareness.
• Functional understanding of Microsoft Office; particularly Excel.
• Demonstrated understanding of Case Management principles and practices.
• High standard of integrity and confidentiality, work ethics including honest communication with program manager and colleagues.
• Working knowledge of continuous quality improvement through attention to detail and finished work.
• Quick learner with good time-management skills
• Working knowledge of Work, Health and Safety standards.
• Current NT Drivers Licence, National Police Check and Ochre Card.
