About the role
It is the purpose of this role to deliver competent, evidence based clinical psychology services as a member of the Redcliffe Caboolture Community Care Unit (RCCCU) multidisciplinary team to consumers with complex mental illnesses in a specialised residential facility / rehabilitation unit, to facilitate rehabilitation, recovery, and transition to independent living. Psychological services will also be provided to families, carers and significant others with a focus on planning and provision of psychosocial care and therapeutic interventions within recovery and rehabilitation frameworks.
About you
In terms of technical knowledge, skills, and experience and within the context of the responsibilities described above under Key Accountabilities, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Clinical Practice
- Demonstrated ability to provide a competent level of clinical psychology services including knowledge, expertise and skill in delivering psychological interventions (group and individual) utilising established principles and evidence-based practice for adult clients diagnosed with a variety of mental illnesses and/disorders.
Communication and Team Participation
- Demonstrated ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team utilising comprehensive communication skills to work collaboratively with consumers, family members / carers, other government and non-government community organisations and other team members.
- Demonstrated understanding of the principles, processes and environments that support recovery and an ability to work within a Recovery Framework.
Leadership and Professional Development
- Demonstrated experience in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities and the ability to provide clinical practice supervision to less experienced staff members and education to students commensurate with level of experience.
