About the Role
Reporting directly to the Group Optimisation Manager, the Data and Reporting Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data models, Power BI reports, and dashboards to support business decision-making. The role involves working with Power BI, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and other data tools to extract, transform, and visualize data effectively. The analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and provide actionable insights through robust data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that to meet business requirements.
- Design and implement data models to support reporting and analytics needs.
- Utilize Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data ingestion, transformation, and integration from various sources.
- Create and optimise data pipelines and workflows for efficiency and performance.
- Collaborate with business units to gather requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting solutions.
- Automate data refreshes and implement best practices for data governance and security.
- Provide technical support and training to stakeholders on data tools and reports.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in Power BI, ADF, and data modelling methodologies.
- Support the design, develop, and manage Azure SQL databases and other data storage solutions.
- Optimise report performance and ensure data accuracy within Power BI.
- Create and maintain detailed design, security and architecture documentation
About You

Essential skills
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a similar role
- Proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard creation.
- Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) or similar for data integration and transformation.
- Hands-on experience with data modelling techniques (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, normalization).
- Knowledge of SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and querying.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into data solutions.
Desirable skills
- Certification in Power BI, Azure Data Engineering, or related fields is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Azure Synapse, Databricks, or other cloud-based data solutions is a plus
- Sound Knowledge of cyber security and data security frameworks
