- Flexible working - 3 days in the office and 2 days' work from home
- Accrued days off and flexi days (up to 2 days per month), additional public holidays, annual leave and paid Christmas close down
- Salary - $125,290 plus 16.5% superannuation
Our client
We are working with a leading member-based organisation who are seeking a dynamic and strategic Deputy Communications and Media Manager to join the team.
The Role
Reporting to the Communications and Media Manager, the Deputy Communications and Media Manager will:
- Facilitate news-oriented media management, writing media releases, responding to media inquiries and developing media and campaign plans
- Monitor and track relevant media trends and current affairs, preparing proactive media responses
- Work with the team communications designers to manage a busy production schedule of member and campaign materials
- Work with internal stakeholders to deliver engaging articles and content for member publications and campaign materials.
- Take responsibility for allocated projects and campaigns
- Write and create content for a range of publications and websites
- Assist with the preparation of internal reports and presentations
- Backfill the Communications and Media Manager during periods of leave.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications
- Demonstrated experience in news journalism
- Demonstrated experience in media management
- Exceptional research, writing, and storytelling abilities
- Expertise in stakeholder management
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
