We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mental Health Nurse to provide clinical leadership and contribute to high-quality, safe mental health services. In this role, you will provide expert mental health nursing care, lead nursing teams, and implement programs that improve consumer outcomes across various service settings. You will play a key role in shaping and improving the future of mental health nursing practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical mental health nursing care to a defined population.
- Lead and support multidisciplinary teams, ensuring coordinated and integrated care.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management, and clinical decision-making.
- Guide and mentor nursing staff, fostering professional development and a culture of excellence.
- Drive change management and consumer engagement initiatives.
- Ensure the delivery of effective discharge planning and hospital avoidance strategies.
- Lead research and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.
What we’re looking for:
- Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience and a Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing (or equivalent).
- Expertise in mental health nursing practice and leadership in multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor staff, manage change, and drive innovation.
- Experience working with Aboriginal communities and a commitment to cultural competence.
