Join Our Team as a Services Assistant – Port Lincoln Health Services
Looking for a role where you can make a tangible difference while developing your skills? Port Lincoln Health Services is seeking a motivated and reliable Services Assistant to help deliver exceptional catering, cleaning, and laundry services. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our health unit runs smoothly and our clients receive top-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely and efficient catering services, including food preparation, plating, delivery, and managing dietary requirements.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the unit, including routine carpet cleaning, window washing, and housekeeping.
- Undertake general laundry duties, including sorting, folding, ironing, and packing uniforms and linens.
- Assist with minor sewing repairs and ensure all laundry items are appropriately labelled and stored.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and infection control standards are adhered to at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the team, assisting with stock management, menu requests, and client interactions.
What We’re Looking For:
- Strong ability to work well in a team and adapt to a variety of roles.
- Flexibility with rostering and working across various health service settings.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage tasks with discretion and confidentiality.
- Experience in housekeeping, catering, and laundry services is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food safety, infection control, and health and safety standards.
