We are seeking a skilled Operational Acceptance Engineer to provide technical expertise and engineering leadership in the commissioning and operational acceptance process to enhance asset safety, performance, and mitigate operational risks.
In this role, you will be responsible for the final acceptance of new, refurbished, and modified assets, advising on design, installation, and hydraulic systems to optimise customer value.
Responsibilities:
- Overseeing quality assurance of asset operational acceptance deliverables and outcomes.
- Resolving any discrepancies between project and operational acceptance expectations.
- Offering technical advice to planning, design, and standards teams to improve asset creation processes, operability, and maintainability of future projects.
- Be the key stakeholder for mechanical and electrical equipment and hydraulic systems for Networks and Production assets and systems
Experience and Qualifications:
- Relevant engineering degree
- Minimum 8 years of professional experience in civil, mechanical or electrical engineering role.
- Demonstrated experience in designing field tested commissioning procedures and guidelines relevant to mechanical/electrical equipment and systems, and complex hydraulic systems in water and wastewater utilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Understand the application of Standards Governance, Value Engineering and Safety in Design.
- Awareness of contractual, legal, commercial, and legislative requirements associated with design, construct, and delivery of assets.
Essential Requirements:
- Current drivers’ licence
- NSW Construction White Card (desirable)
