The Mechanical Apprentice carries out tasks in support of the Mechanical program under instruction of a qualified Mechanical Fitter
Nature of position: Permanent, Full Time
Location: Brisbane, QLD
Reporting Line: Mechanical Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Lead with Safety front of mind and be an advocate for our values Delivery, People and Accountability
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on various water and wastewater infrastructure to ensure assets are performing at their best
- Perform Wastewater, Water Construction and Maintenance tasks
- Undertake and participate in job and plant hazard identification and incident notifications
- Attend and actively participate in team and toolbox meetings
- Lead or assist in the completion of a job through the mobile field computing system
- Installation and augmentation of major assets/ plant/ installations
- Maintenance job compliance and ensuring processes and procedures are followed to maintain a safe workplace
About You
- Current Driver’s License
- Ability to integrate with and cooperate as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to work with external personal including sub-contractors and clients in a professional and courteous manner
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel)
